JANUARY 25, 2024 – We would like to give a BIG thank you to Amy Wilkinson’s Grade 10 Geography Class from St. John’s High School!

The students planned, organized, promoted, and operated a second-hand holiday store in their school called ‘Frosty Finds’. Their goal was providing a sustainable, affordable holiday shopping option for students while highlighting problems with the consumption and disposal of products made from natural resources. The students raised $850, and they decided to donate the funds to Ka Ni Kanichihk’s Medicine Bear Counselling, Support, and Elder Services program.

Medicine Bear Counselling, Support and Elder Services provides families of MMIWG2S+ the opportunity to heal from complicated grief and trauma within a culturally safe and supportive environment.

We want to once again thank the students for their hard work and their extremely generous donation to Ka Ni Kanichihk programming.
