The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to join our team as a Team Lead in our Education Department. In this role, you will oversee initiatives related within our educational programs; Social Innovation and Community Development, and Honouring Gifts. You will lead a team of passionate educators, guiding them in the design and implementation of innovative educational and cultural experiences that empower individuals and communities to create positive and lasting change.

What You Will Be Doing….

  • Providing leadership, coordination, and support to a team of educators and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Training and onboarding new staff, and providing coaching support alongside managing performance and goals
  • Responsible for student recruitment, orientation, attending open houses and career fairs, as well as providing student resources  
  • Implementing programming that is relevant and inclusive and will best serve student interests and needs
  • Lead the design and delivery of training and professional development programs for educators, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to effectively
  • Course management assistance, by collaboration with both the Education team and the accreditation body to maintain and update program courses and syllabus
  • Oversee program budgets and cash flows, as well as ensure program review, monitor, and evaluations     
  • Conduct the Education team’s annual evaluations to assess performance and set goals for professional development
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final reports as required by program and funder guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration in support of our educational initiatives

Who You Are:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards a shared vision
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable on community resources, and able to provide one-on-one wraparound support for students
  • Proven ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to challenges
  • Experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on outcomes and impact
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

You Have:

  • Five (5) years+ of management experience, funder stakeholders and related education and facilitation experience
  • Five (5) years+ of demonstrated experience in teaching, facilitating and adapting to support Adult Learners in an educational context
  • A valid Manitoba Driver’s License, clear drivers abstract and reliable access to a vehicle
  • Experience in facilitating group activities
  • Understanding of wraparound and community-centered approach as well as trauma-informed, and harm reductive practices
  • Committed to staff and participant strictest confidentiality
  • Ability to integrate cultural reclamation and traditional healing practices
  • A recent (as of the past 6 months) Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector, and Child Abuse Registry Check
