Heart Medicine Gathering 2025

& Charlene Nowicki (HML Facilitator)
February 28, 2025 – On Friday, February 28, we hosted our 11th annual Heart Medicine Gathering at the Norwood Hotel. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event, and everyone who came together and helped make it so special for our community.
Heart Medicine Gathering is an all-day, annual event hosted by our Heart Medicine Lodge program. The gathering is a celebration of Indigenous women, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse folx. This year’s theme was Healing in Sisterhood: Honouring the Hearts of Indigenous Women.
We had activity stations like button-making, dream catchers, vision boards, a SnapFox photo booth, eagle-feather fan downs, massages, and STBBI testing (GoAskAuntie).
We would also like to thank each of the dancers who were part of the Jingle Dress Healing Ceremony. We had so much positive feedback for the ceremony, and we’re so happy that so many women in the community were able to experience it with us.
Thank you and miigwetch to our wonderful keynote speaker Britney Supernault, AKA The Cree Nomad. Britney is an author, climate activist, and social media personality based in Edmonton, Alberta. You can find The Cree Nomad on Tik Tok, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Visit their website at thecreenomad.com. Their debut, Amazon best-selling novel ‘Hey, June’ is available now.
We hope to see everyone again at next year’s Heart Medicine Gathering. Chi-Miigwetch.
