Please Consider Supporting Ka Ni Kanichihk Programs Today
Over the fall and leading into winter, the temperature continues to drop in Winnipeg. Ka Ni Kanichihk is currently working to expand in the areas of overnight safe spaces. We have prepared for additional supports to Indigenous women, 2spirit and gender diverse peoples, including protection from the cold, a warm place to rest, have coffee or tea and nourishment.
We welcome donations of warm clothing, blankets, winter wear (socks, hats, gloves, jackets) and hygiene items. If you would like to arrange a physical donation, please call ahead: 204-953-5820.
Here’s how your donation can empower our community:
- Cultural Resources: Your support helps us preserve and share Indigenous culture, providing a secure space for cultural practices and traditions to thrive.
- Mentorship Programs: By supporting our youth initiatives, you guide young individuals toward pride, community engagement, and a sense of responsibility.
- Education and Training: Your contribution empowers individuals with essential skills for financial independence through educational and job-skills training programs.
- Wellness Supports: Your donation contributes to healing, success, and leadership programs, providing vital support to youth, women, and families recovering from trauma.
We invite you to join us in making a lasting impact on those seeking support, guidance, and a sense of belonging from Ka Ni Kanichihk. Your generosity brings renewal, strength, and hope to those in need. Please consider making a gift today to help us continue our mission of empowering our community members.
The season of renewal is the perfect time to invest in community-led wellness and growth. Please consider making a gift today.
