Donor and Community Partnerships Coordinator
Full Time: 40 hours per week
Wage: $28.84 – $30.29 per hour
Position Summary
The Donor & Community Partnerships Coordinator plays an important role in building, nurturing, and sustaining meaningful relationships with donors, funders, and community partners. This role supports the organization’s mission by engaging donors, coordinating fundraising efforts, writing grants and funding proposals, and maintaining accurate donor and funder records in DonorPerfect.
This position works closely with leadership, finance, and program teams to share impact, strengthen partnerships, and ensure supporters feel connected, valued, and informed.
What You Will Be Doing:
Donor & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain respectful, values-aligned relationships with individual donors, community partners, and supporters
- Coordinate donor communications including thank-you letters, impact updates, stewardship reports, and newsletters
- Support donor recognition, appreciation activities, and relationship-building opportunities
- Track donor engagement, giving history, and communication preferences
Fundraising & Partnership Support
- Support the planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns, events, and donor appeals
- Assist with outreach, follow-up, and donor cultivation activities
- Support online fundraising initiatives and seasonal giving campaigns
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen and expand community partnerships
Grant & Proposal Development
- Research and track grant and funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Write and submit grant applications, proposals, and letters of intent
- Work with program and finance teams to gather narratives, budgets, and outcome data
- Support funder reporting, including narrative and financial components
DonorPerfect & Data Management
- Maintain accurate, confidential donor and funder records in DonorPerfect
- Enter and reconcile donations, pledges, grants, and acknowledgements
- Generate reports related to fundraising performance, donor stewardship, and grant tracking
- Support data integrity, privacy, and compliance with organizational policies
Collaboration & Administration
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure fundraising and grant messaging reflects current programs and impact
- Support development planning, timelines, and deliverables
- Participate in team meetings, organizational events, and community activities

You Have…
- 2+ years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, grants, or non-profit development (or equivalent lived/learned experience)
- Experience writing grants, funding proposals, or donor communications
- Experience using DonorPerfect or similar donor management databases
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Experience working with Indigenous-led, community-based, or social service organizations
- Knowledge of charitable giving regulations and grant reporting requirements is an asset
- Clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector, and Clear Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks
- A valid Class5F Driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle is an asset
